Skyhill’s primary geological deity is most certainly this magnificent 11,400ft mountain.
More than one peak makes up this iconic horizon just a few miles to our southeast. On the right of White Buffalo Mountain is Land’s End peak. Between the two is a somewhat steep trail that reveals the grandeur of the high country with its old growth aspen groves, mountain streams and sculpted rock faces.
Every sunset lights up the mountain and clouds into a 360 degree panorama. It is impossible not to be endlessly awed by the majestic beauty of this dynamic landscape, taking far too many photos. What follows are some of the scenes we just couldn’t stop ourselves from capturing.
